I am currently in final editing steps with my latest short story, the first in a new series, Maria Denied, and writing a short story prequel to Tainted Eden for publishing on free platforms on the web. I’m hoping to get both of those projects wrapped up in the next week or two, and will be sending the usual announcement email with NSFW freebies shortly after, so if you haven’t joined the mailing list, now’s your chance.

The rest of this post would be a hard one for most people. I did debate whether to say anything or not, because this is about something that has brought me a small amount of heartache. But I want to be honest and transparent. I think that’s important as a person who produces and sells things, particularly non-essentials, to other people.

So here’s the setting of this particular mini-drama: I sometimes participate in conversations online that aren’t about how various parts of human anatomy might or might not fit within other parts of human anatomy. And people who write “real” books tend to feel offended that I might think I have something to say that would be of importance to them. My ads have a 10% click-through rate, which is phenomenally good, but I obviously have nothing useful to say to moral and upright human beings who have never enjoyed a quick wank reading a dirty story.

Their criticism has lead to a couple changes. First, I no longer try to offer advice to people with a “superior” command of both the english language and the nuances of writing fun and engaging reads. Second, after a crippling few hours of depression, I shook myself off, read it again, and took some of their feedback seriously, looking at my writing with a critical eye. I always try to take feedback gracefully and really do appreciate critical reviews, so please keep telling me what I’m doing wrong or what I can do better on the next book!

As I write more books, I get better. You know, like humans do. My latest novella, Tainted Eden 1: The Whisperbloom has what I feel is a great mix of plot development, characterization, and raunchy action for my readers, but that hasn’t always been the case. Going back and reading some of my early books is frankly embarrassing. I hope you appreciate that we all have to start somewhere, but the place I started at is no longer one I feel comfortable charging for.

Therefore, I have chosen to retire my earliest titles. I’ll leave the blog posts up for historical purposes but they won’t be available for purchase on Amazon any longer. This includes two impact play BDSM books – which, it turns out, is just not my thing to write – as well as Barely Tempted, my first foray into the ENF genre, but a bit adolescent in its plot progression and character development. Dungeon of Temptation, an early LitRPG adjacent short story, made the cut with its saucy main characters and my first real attempt at writing a story that was anything more than a glorified porno script.

I hope my readers appreciate the streamlined selection and better quality of my offerings now. To the reviewer who posted a 1-star review of ENF System Chronicles: The Cursed Cat dungeon, you know, if beautiful character development and page after page of the ideal packing technique of elvish rope is your thing, maybe you should read JRR Tolkien and leave my book on the shelf. If, however, you want roasty hot action that starts in the first few pages and continues more or less unabated throughout the entire novella, I hope you give my books a try.
